I always listen carefully to what children are saying. They can be very observant, honest, and forthright — sometimes more so than adults who would rather be polite than honest. The same thing happened to me recently, and I am glad I listened. This is why it’s also important to have good friends who are honest with you. A serious health crisis was averted!
